Caseys4aCure Club Supports Team Jack!

RBC faculty, staff and students joined forces to battle cancer on Friday after a school wide dressdown raised money for cancer organizations making a difference. Students and faculty were allowed to “dress down” in causal RBC apparel while their donation went to the American Cancer Society and the local Team Jack Foundation. Team Jack was started, in part, by RBC senior Katie Esposito to honor her brother, Jack, who passed away from pediatric cancer. The foundation was created “to support families in New Jersey facing the expenses and hardships of pediatric cancer, as well as, other pediatric medical conditions. [The group] hosts fundraising activities, holiday toy drives, and various other opportunities to help bring fun and relief to as many families as possible.”

RBC’s Caseys4aCure club helped to sponsor the event. Club moderator and teacher Mrs. Jeannine Guarillio, a cancer survivor herself, leads a group of students to actively participate in various events throughout the year in supporting an effort to combat cancer.
